Infants Expect Leaders to Right Wrongs, Study Finds
Dr. Maayan Stavans

Dr. Maayan Stavans, our '17 U.S. Postdoc fellow at Bar-Ilan U. in Psychology from the U. of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne, has had her research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. According to her study findings, infants 17 months of age anticipate leaders—but not others—to step in when one member of their group wrongs another. Read the full article on phys.org HERE.

Bank Leumi Appoints Samer Haj-Yehia as New Chairman
Dr. Samer Haj- Yehia

Congratulations to Dr. Samer Haj- Yehia, our Fulbright Israel-Arab Scholarship Program (IASP) alumnus, on his appointment as the new Chairman of Bank Leumi, the first Arab-Israeli to hold this position. Dr. Haj-Yehia was a Fulbright- IASP fellow at MIT in economics in '96-'98 for his PhD studies. Read more in the JPost HERE.

We are recruiting: Programs coordinator

Job description:

• Administrative and operational support for the program manager in the work related to recruitment of candidates, preparation of candidate files, reporting and more.

• Managing and maintaining the information management system, checking the files and adapting them to the program policies. Producing reports and managing payments.

• Assistance in work related to the Foundation's programs, training for fellows and monitoring the placement process at universities.

• Engagement with relevant parties in academic institutions in Israel and the United States.

• Assistance and production of events.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (in all fields) required! Master's degree advantage.

• Proven experience in concentration of activity or professional field.

English, Arabic and Hebrew at the mother tongue level - speech, reading and writing - a must.

• Experience with programs with an academic orientation - an advantage

• Strong verbal and written language skills.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, punctuality, ability to work with multiple tasks.

• Full control of computer applications, including the CRM system

• Full-time job in Tel Aviv, flexible hours.
