The Fulbright Israel Commission held an enrichment workshop for its Israeli fellows who are currently on campuses across the U.S. The event took place on December 18 and is part of a series of seminars designed to ensure our fellows receive a productive, fulfilling, and empowering experience on their Fulbright journey. The full-day event took place at IIE's offices in New York. Sarah Ilchman, co-president of IIE, welcomed the 30 Israeli fellows.
During the day, the fellows took part in a decision-making workshop run by Professor Moran Cerf of Columbia Business School, and leadership discussions guided by leadership coach, Yana Shechterman.
At the end of the event, the fellows enjoyed a reception at the residence of the chairman of the board of Fulbright Israel.

Israeli Fulbright alumni from the last decade, gathered this week for a professional networking event. For this first gathering of its kind, the alumni, motivators and trailblazers who studied and trained at the leading higher education institutions in the United States, met. The event focused on connecting, discussing and sharing ideas for future initiatives that will impact Israeli society and emphasized the importance of the Fulbright network and social capital, and enabled thoughts and initiatives on the next chapter of our alumni Fulbright journey. Thank you to Shir Eshkol and Yonat Ben Ozer, our recent MA program alumni for the initiative and to Raji Awies for the wonderful hospitality.

Dr. Chet writing

Dr. Chet Bush's Fulbright Israel journey has led him to reflect on life from several perspectives.

"As a researcher of History and Pilgrimage Studies, it is easy for me to interpret living abroad as one step an individual takes in a longer journey of change. As a member of my own family, I see ways I have grown as a person, among people who live and interact differently from ways I am accustomed. As an American citizen, I have reflected on the values that inform nation-building, and have watched ways people construct, participate, and seek to shape institutions and communities. In addition to the research agenda I set for myself I, also, had a more personal goal: Learn to be at home in another country."
