My 20 month experience at the Weizmann Institute of Science was not only beneficial for my professional development, but also led to satisfying work. The facilities and infrastructure at the Institute were highly conducive to pursuing my research aims. Outside the lab, I loved spending time in a young, resilient country. Fulbright Israel was a great resource while living here, and I will miss the staff and the community of visiting scholars they manage to continually build!

It has been an absolute privilege to conduct a Fulbright postdoctoral fellowship in Israel. Fulbright's support has allowed me to pursue organic chemistry research at the Technion, gaining both scientific experience and an increased level of cultural understanding, rendering my postdoctoral studies important both professionally and personally. The many events planned by the Fulbright office have provided a “home away from home,” enriching my experience and providing an excellent networking opportunity. I would highly recommend this opportunity to any interested American researcher.

I hold dear Fulbright’s embrace and support throughout this journey. Fulbright offered me a community to turn to for professional advice and personal support. Fellow scholars and academic advisors helped me navigate issues of acclimation, paperwork, and academic life in the United States. This support allowed me to focus on the goals I came here to engage with and evolve both as an architect and as a person. Read more.
As Fulbrighters, we had an unfair advantage in making the most of our master’s experience! The global community of Fulbrighters, gathered in NYC, was the most proactive group I’ve ever been part of. Together, we organized road trips, collaborated on research, and even met world leaders like the Global Chairman of PwC. The program and its community offered unique opportunities that enriched both our academic and personal journeys. Read more.

Pursuing a PhD means becoming a subject-matter expert on a set of closely related specialty topics, but identifying critical knowledge gaps during this process is arguably just as important in the long term. As it quickly became clear when my advisor’s closest collaborator from Ben-Gurion visited Arizona as a colloquium speaker, coming to Israel was the best path forward to close such gaps in my own education. Having just completed my first semester, I am still trying to figure out where this journey will lead me. The art scene in America has a different way of approaching and exploring materiality and the identities of the artist and the audience engaging with the artwork. This space allows for change. Being in America has already been impactful—I find myself rethinking my practice, becoming more attuned to the differences between my home crowd and the local crowd, and reflecting on how art can serve in different social structures and contexts. Also, studying here comes with the amazing privilege of accessing the most advanced workshops, making it easier to delve deeply into the material and process experiments involved in creating an object.
Moreover, living in America has allowed me to understand the vastness of this country, its diversity of people, and the wide range of perspectives. It is inspiring and humbling. It feels significant to step into this space as an artist and try to observe from the outside all that is happening.
I am deeply grateful for the friendships I have begun to form with peers and faculty who challenge and inspire me. These relationships help me grow while also encouraging mutual exchange and transformation. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone considering the Fulbright program to embrace this special opportunity for discovery, connection, and self-reflection. America is vast, and its possibilities are just as expansive.

My Fulbright experience has been truly amazing. Learning from world-class professors, collaborating with students from diverse backgrounds, and exploring groundbreaking research opportunities has not only expanded my knowledge but also provided me with lasting insights. Immersing myself in American culture has been both inspiring and educating. This exposure has enriched my personal and professional life by offering a deeper understanding of the unique life and work culture in the U.S., a global hub of innovation and progress. It has broadened my perspective, fostered creativity, and encouraged critical reflection on what practices to improve in my home country and what valuable lessons to adopt from the U.S. experience.

My time as a Fulbright fellow has been rewarding. The academic courses help me build a stronger understanding of public policy and U.S. politics, and allow me to learn from perspectives of other international students.
It’s been interesting to learn about American Jewish life and connect it with my own experiences. Being away from home is tough at times, but I’m lucky to have the support and friendship of other students and Fulbrighters.
I’m very grateful for this opportunity. It’s been exciting to meet so many inspiring people. This experience has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’m looking forward to making the most of my time here—exploring the U.S., learning more, and building connections that will last beyond this program.
