My 20 month experience at the Weizmann Institute of Science was not only beneficial for my professional development, but also led to satisfying work. The facilities and infrastructure at the Institute were highly conducive to pursuing my research aims. Outside the lab, I loved spending time in a young, resilient country. Fulbright Israel was a great resource while living here, and I will miss the staff and the community of visiting scholars they manage to continually build!

It has been an absolute privilege to conduct a Fulbright postdoctoral fellowship in Israel. Fulbright's support has allowed me to pursue organic chemistry research at the Technion, gaining both scientific experience and an increased level of cultural understanding, rendering my postdoctoral studies important both professionally and personally. The many events planned by the Fulbright office have provided a “home away from home,” enriching my experience and providing an excellent networking opportunity. I would highly recommend this opportunity to any interested American researcher.

Fellow scholars and academic advisors helped me navigate issues of acclimation, paperwork, and academic life in the United States. This support allowed me to focus on the goals I came here to engage with and evolve both as an architect and as a person. Read more.

As I’ve had to adjust to life in the U.S., my research continues to evolve with each new challenge, becoming more meaningful to the communities I study. Learn more.

Pursuing a PhD means becoming a subject-matter expert on a set of closely related specialty topics, but identifying critical knowledge gaps during this process is arguably just as important in the long term.
