Fulbright Alumni Association of Israel (FAAI)- Haifa North alumni warmly welcome our 2015 American Fulbrighters based in the north. 


American Fulbrighters Kayla Nonn, Nathan Walton and Richard Mapes were joined by FAAI-Haifa North steering committee members and other alumni for a tour of the Hecht Museum, a bird's eye view of Haifa from the top of the Eshkol Tower and coffee and conversation on the University of Haifa campus.

Fulbright Outreach Program alumni, Awni Mousa (MA, '14, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology, New York University) and Fadi Kanaan (MA, '10, Educational Psychology & Methodology, State University of New York-Albany) shared with students about their experiences and the opportunities of the Fulbright MA Program. The event was initiated by Fulbright postdoc alumna and head of the Biology and Environment Department at Haifa University, Dr. Tamar Kaesar, who teaches at the Oranim campus.

A lecture by a Fulbright Senior Specialist, Professor Ted Gup, on “Secrecy and its Casualties.”

In a joint event with the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, Professor Ted Gup will talk about democracy in what has been called “The Information Age.” Even in the most robust of democracies, even in an era celebrated for unprecedented access to information, secrecy is pervasive. Professor Gup, a Fulbright Senior Specialist and a well-known author, will explain how Many of us have become so accustomed to it that we are no longer aware of its impact, though it touches us in every sphere of our lives, both political and personal. In the lecture, he will examine the nature of secrecy, its reach and depth, and how it affects us all.

The Friends of Fulbright Association- General Assembly Meeting

USIEF's non-profit organization, the Friends of Fulbright Association, met to discuss its future activities. Fulbright American Senior Specialist Fellow, Professor Ted Gup, opened the event with a lecture on "The Power of Secrecy."

The fair  gave prospective students an opportunity to hear presentations on the admission process, how to take the TOEFL, GRE and GMAT tests needed for MBA admission, and speak directly with U.S. admission representatives and alumni from over 24 leading business schools.

Furthermore, students interested in beginning their application strategy will be able to hold one-on-one meetings with the expert team of EducationUSA counselors.
